Fish

Missouri's rivers, creeks, lakes and ponds are home to an abundance of fresh water fish species. Prehistoric Paddlefish, Gars and Blue Catfish live in the large rivers. Green Sunfish, Bluegills, Crappie and Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass inhabit many lakes and ponds. Channel Catfish , Drums, Carp and Sturgeons live in many large and smaller rivers. The clear fast moving creeks of the Ozarks have introduced Trout along with Suckers, Sculpins, and Shiners If you are a fly fisherman, or have a deluxe bass boat or just a cane pole hook and worm, Missouri has a fishing hole to fit your need. While River Otters need no license to catch fish, humans do.
